It's Comedy Week at the campus and a struggling comedian is doing a spot at the union, so Archie and Ruth go along to see him. Thinking that he is ill, Archie thinks decides to go back to see him, and finds that his wife wants him to grow up so that they can start a family. He is in danger of losing everything, but after speaking to Archie he decides that his wife is more important than comedy.

Meanwhile, Ruth wakes up in Daniel's arms, and Lily sees her as she leaves, much to her embarrassment. When she tells Michelle, she is surprised by her frosty reaction. Heston and Vivien clash over the systems he has implemented, reducing Vivien is reduced to tears. When Michelle explains that Vivien has been having a difficult time, Heston is mortified and sends her home, opting to man the reception himself for the rest of the day.
